Adidas Star Wars Collection Trooping Event

What do you get when you cross famous brands like Adidas with an iconic pop-culture movie like Star Wars? Well, Adidas Star Wars Collection of course!

The 501st Malaysia-Brunei Outpost, along with its counterpart Rebel Legion Malaysia, was more than honored to partner with Adidas in launching its fore mentioned Star Wars collections. Fans can expect to see items such as Stormtrooper sneakers, shoes inspired after Darth Vader's look, sweaters bearing the Imperial insignia, and more!

Mybloggercon Awards 2008 Night at Civic Centre, Petaling Jaya (MALAYSIA), 22 NOVEMBER

The 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST is invited by the Malaysian bloggers (Chinese medium) - mybloggercon.org or mybloggercon.com to officiate the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Malaysian Chinese Blog Award 2008 night. A teaser titled the "Mystery-Guests of 1122” was posted at their website on 6 November 2008 to herald our forthcoming appearance.

We’ve extended our invitation to the Rebel Legion Malaysian Outpost, who has accepted our invitation to join us to troop in this event.



Prior to the opening ceremony we will be involved a charity fundraising – phototaking session where the donations will go the Taiwan Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Malaysia, and will be announced on the award night itself.

SPCA World Animal Day

The 501st Malaysia-Brunei Outpost celebrated World Animal Day 2008 held at Tower Terrace of Malaysia’s iconic Kuala Lumpur Tower with our first charity related trooping for the year. Together with our Rebel Legion Malaysian Outpost friends, whom we invited for this joint trooping, we raised RM360.40 (approx. USD100.16) in donations collected for the beneficiary : Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Selangor.

In recognition of our participation, SPCA Selangor accorded the honor to the COs of the 501st Malaysia-Brunei Outpost and Rebel Legion Malaysian Outpost to present the Official “Animals Matter To Me" signature placard, that was signed by the SPCA Chairperson (Christine Chin) and CEO of KL Tower Management, YBHG Dato' Zulkifli bin Mohamad. This signing Officially launched the World Animal Day 2008 event and the “Animals Matter To Me" campaign.

In our course of trooping at Tower Terrace with our assigned volunteers carrying the SPCA Donation Boxes, we were greeted by interesting sights of pets (mainly dogs and a small number of cats) of various breeds and sizes having fun socializing at this Pet Friendly event, just like their human owners. The Stage area was filled throughout this event with performances on "Artists For Animals" by local artistes, demonstration by animal experts, dances by cheerleaders, capoeira, Hip-hop dancers and interactive storytelling that have been organized to add excitement to this biggest World Animal Day event in Malaysia.
