Ipoh Trooping Event

On Sunday afternoon the 25th October 2009, the 501st Malaysia-Brunei Outpost gathered at Ipoh Parade for a charity trooping event.

Kicking-off at 1:00pm, the event saw Darth Vader, along with his minions comprising of the ever popular Stormtroopers, Biker Scouts, Royal Guards, Imperial TIE Pilots, as well as a new addition to the team - one Imperial Crewman - scour the grounds of the iconic shopping mall in search of Rebels and of course, for some friendly-mixing with the general populace.

With generous contributions from various businesses and organizations (see accompanying list of donors and sponsors), the 501st Malaysia-Brunei Outpost troopers managed to raise an impressive sum amounting to RM5,000! The said monies were then donated to Loyal & Semangat Home.

In summary, the event was a huge success and the 501st Malaysia-Brunei Outpost thanks each and every one of the donors and sponsors listed above for their outstanding generosity, as well as the strong-support displayed by the members of the public.

Lastly, but not the least, a big thank you to Richard Yeoh (TK-1848) who painstakingly organized and coordinated this event, as well as each and every member of the team, be it trooper, minder, photographer etc. for taking time off to ensure that this event would be a successful one.
